Jessica Bernhardt
RN, CAC, CEO
Jessica Bernhardt has been a registered nurse for ten years. Her focus for the last five years has been on nursing leadership, leading teams in Medical/Surgical, Oncology, and Acute Rehabilitation, and devoting her time to building her business, Hope Alzheimer's & Dementia Care. In the last seven years, Jessica has also cared for those with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias.
Jessica is passionate about education. She received an Associate of Science degree in Nursing from Butte College. She is currently an adjunct student and advocates in both the National Certified Board for Alzheimer and Aging, NCBAC, and Alzheimer's Impact Movement. Jessica's expected completion of her certification will be in July 2023.
With extensive leadership skills and experience, Jessica is passionate about nursing as a profession and encourages and supports advanced education and professionalism from her teams. She is a strong patient advocate, always working to enhance the care setting to promote excellent patient care and outcomes while promoting a healthy work environment.
In addition to her professional work and educational endeavors, she loves being a mother of two children and to her four-legged friend, a Golden Retriever. The family stays very busy with travel, extended family gatherings, volunteering at her child's school, attending church, supporting children's theater and youth group, and being involved in her community.
Cara Jacques
RN, CAC, Supervisor
Cara Jacques has been a registered nurse for ten years and has practiced nursing in acute care, post-acute, rehabilitation, and Alzheimer’s and dementia care. Cara has two years of surgical care experience, one year of case management, and six years in surgical/neuro acute care rehabilitation.
Cara spent most of her formative years of nursing caring for Alzheimer’s and dementia patients and a combined seven years of caring for patients diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and dementia. She has a special place in her heart for the elderly and those living with Alzheimer’s and dementia disease. Her grandmother of 101 years also lived her last ten years with dementia.
Cara is passionate about teaching, learning, and caring for those with Alzheimer’s and dementia. Her education not only includes her Associates of Science degree in Nursing, but she also has an Associates in Social Sciences and a Bachelors in Studio Art with an emphasis in photography, painting, and drawing.
At this time, she is also pursuing further certifications in specialty care for Alzheimer’s and dementia. She is excited to be a part of the Hope team to provide a caring, safe, and creative environment for your loved ones.
